This $1 million gold nugget - which the finder nicknamed the "Hand of Faith" - was found with a Garrett detector in Australia. Weighing 875 troy ounces (roughly 61 pounds and 11 ounces), the "Hand of Faith" is now on display in the lobby of the Golden Nugget Casino in Las Vegas.

Another interesting Garrett find is this 7.656" tall gem - nicknamed "Snow White" - from Western Australia's Golden Mile. Chemist Virgil Hutton removed the iron from the 80-ounce rock, leaving only the white quartz and embedded gold.

Frank of Queensland, Australia, found this 92 gram gold nugget with his Infinium LS metal detector.

Charles Garrett's most prized find is this 16th century Spanish icon of the Virgin Mary with Christ child, discovered with a Master Hunter detector on Guadeloupe in the Caribbean.

A hobbyist in England used a Garrett detector to find the "Middleham Jewel", a gold religious pendant containing 10ct. blue sapphire stone, believed to have been worn by King Richard III in the 15th century.
